Solana Foundation: BRIJ Puts Airline Search Live On pay.sh Platform

BRIJ flight search went live on pay.sh on Oct. 15, 2026, letting AI agents book flights through onchain USDC escrow on Solana. NFA.

Service Activation

The Solana Foundation announced the activation on its X account on the same date. Agents gained the ability to call the flight-search endpoints without creating an account. They pay only for the calls they make. The service page on pay.sh confirms that the BRIJ Flight API supplies live flight search paired with escrow-backed booking on Solana.

Agent Workflow

Agents start by querying live airline fares. Once a suitable option appears they can submit passenger details to begin the booking. The system checks the fare again before any funds move. If the price has changed the call ends without creating an escrow. When the fare holds the booking proceeds and a dedicated onchain escrow is created for that order. The refund wallet address is set at the moment of creation.

Payment Mechanics

Paid calls run through x402 per-call metering. No accounts, keys, or subscriptions are needed. Funds in USDC stay inside the escrow until the order is captured or refunded. A failed booking triggers an automatic return of the full amount. Agents can check order status or request refunds through the same endpoints.

Confirmation From BRIJ

BRIJ posted on X on Oct. 16, 2026 to confirm the service was live. The posts restated that every booking generates its own escrow contract and that the USDC moves only on successful capture or on automatic refund. The fare re-check step prevents agents from locking in stale prices.

Platform Scope

The pay.sh service description states that agents can pay for APIs per request. The BRIJ integration adds travel-specific endpoints to that model. The combination gives agents direct access to airline data and settlement without intermediate accounts.

Agents receive a single set of tools that covers search, escrow creation, status checks, and refunds. Each step follows the same onchain payment rules already in place on pay.sh. The result is a streamlined path from fare lookup to completed booking or full refund.

Operational Details

The integration ships with no additional sign-up barriers. Agents simply call the documented endpoints and attach the required payment for each request. Live fares come directly from airline sources. Escrow logic handles the transfer of USDC once the booking conditions are met. Failed attempts clear the escrow automatically, returning the original amount to the agent wallet.

BRIJ and the Solana Foundation each supplied the same core facts through their public posts and service documentation. The service remains open for any agent that follows the published endpoint structure.
