Artist Previews A Binder Page Before The Paint Dries
Metal · 28 Oct 2026
A fiery cheer from Bark followed the sneak peeks a community artist posted on Tuesday evening, Oct. 27, 2026, of a hand-made binder page for the community card game.
Boogie’s domain, as the creator imagines it, was shown by panels that stretched a latest full-art spread outward.
Hand-drawn touch-ups appear on some pages, added by the creator wherever the printed art needs more detail.
Why it matters
Fan art like this makes the card game personal, and a binder of painted pages turns into a showcase.
Creative work by members got backing from Bark’s cheer. Fans already love the art that the pages salute.
Showing the work in progress let supporters follow a spread as it came together. The community was invited into the craft.
Pumpy, Thumpy and Digger, the Zombie creatures, packed a single spread. Elsewhere, a spread displayed a land of the dead under Zombie rule.
Closing links drawn across the spread appeared in the peeks, and they are what lets the spread feel unified.
Sharing the spread before completion gave supporters a view of the design process.
A burst of fire emojis was Bark’s reply to the sneak peek. It tagged the card game and Doginal Dogs.
Testing on other pages covered sturdier paper and double-sided prints. The creator said printing both sides leaves a spread looking more complete.
Small panels for a personal binder are also painted by hand. That personal binder serves as the creator’s prototype.
How it works
Every spread uses custom panels around the cards. They push a card’s artwork past its borders and build a larger scene around it.
Mento headlined an earlier spread, with his magic stretching across it. The card is a sturdy taunt, and its owner draws a card when it is destroyed.
Background
A Wizard spread collected that class’s spells, and the game’s classes are Wizard, Bows, Zombies and Crowns.
Class by class, the creator makes pages for Doginal Dogs Legends, the community card game.
The panels carry the art of a full-art card, which covers the whole face, past the card’s edges.
Reaper took center stage in full art on a concept spread. The creator presented that layout as something that could work for any card.
Of all the cards, Reaper is the creator’s favorite, and a latest spread paired it with Fitch and Shepherd.
Acrylic paint pens and matte varnish went into a remade insert for a revisited spread. The creator then laminated it with holo foil.
The Chico card staircase runs through that insert, which shows painted clouds and the light rays of Helios.
The creator described latest pages as coming together easily, with a process that is now consistent and reliable.
